2010 Talisman Zinfandel Ferguson Valley Australia

Ferguson Valley is a Australian viticultural district within the official Geographe wine region of Western Australia. Just inland from the Indian Ocean coast, the sunny valley is cooled by maritime breezes during the hot summer months, allowing it to produce powerful wines with unusual complexity.

The Talisman vineyard is situated high in the hills of the Ferguson Valley. The unique site is surrounded by the Wellington National Park and was initially purchased for is extreme beauty as a weekend escape for the family. The superb quality fruit is complimented by the delicate winemaking style of Peter Stanlake who works his magic to create Talisman’s award winning wines.

Built to last and get better with age, this wine’s dark colour has a concentrated flavour that is thick with gooey raisin sweetness, however no sugar. 

"Three years old with Christmas cake and dark fruits flavours coming through. There is some soft tannin, due to its aging, making it smooth and complex. If you have it now, enjoy with curry or pasta with loads of chilli. Or keep to mature for the next 10 – 15 years when it will peak."
