1960’s Bisquit Fine Champagne Napoleon Cognac Mid Shoulder
Appreciated for the subtle interplay of aromas, beginning with a core of ripe apricot and syrupy honey. The sweet spices, cinnamon and clove, subtly follow and are complemented by underlying floral nuances.
Palate: Smooth and mellow on the palate, with a long-lasting finish that holds flavour.
Colour: Deep gold.
Nose: The first scents that rise to your nostrils are those of roses and meaty bouillons, lilies, raisins… It’s all very subtle, very delicate, and, I have to say, very moving indeed. There are even very elegant notes of old style perfume.
Mouth: Impressive! No weaknesses, no tiredness, rather a kind of rustic arrival, combining mint, raisins, meat extracts, and various herbs. Some earth as well, mushrooms, humus, even a little chestnut purée…
Finish: Long, obviously, but still very well alive and kicking. Raisins and mint.
