1985 M. Gonzalez Vintage Port

M. Gonzalez was a member of the Gonzalez-Byass family, but after a take over he decided to go it alone when it was acceptable in the '80s. Sadly he passed away before he could produce anymore than one vintage - the '85. This was a great year for Port generally.

The 1985 M. Gonzalez Vintage Port has some interesting tasting notes. Here are a few highlights:

Appearance: It has a dark tawny brown color.

Nose: The aroma is very sweet with little alcohol evident. Hints of plums also on the nose.

Palate: The taste is quite sweet, with caramel flavors being prominent.
