1976 Glen Mhor Hart Brothers 21 year old Hart Brothers 700ml 43% vol

Alistair and Donald Hartare experienced whisky buyers with many years experience in the trade. They have selected individuals barrels over the years and bottled them when they judge them to be at their peak. GM is no longer there as a distillery, closing in 1983; it was demolished in 1988 and a restaurant built on the site. The dram itself is a typical Highland malt, lightly peated malt, fruity and with a dry finish.

Colour: Straw.

Nose: Very flowery, nectar, , with also some notes of beer, malt, dampened grains and whiffs of the fireplace… Some marzipan, fresh almonds and hazelnuts, a little olive oil, , dairy cream…

Mouth: Bold and punchy, a rather peaty feeling and something very herbal.
