Ernst Bretz - Portugieser - Rheinhessen - 2013

Blauer Portugieser is an Austrian wine made famous by being part of the assemblage for the (in)famous 'Bull's Blood' (in Hungary). When vinified by itself, this grape produces a lovely light red wine with refreshing acidity and summer fruits on the nose and palate. Ideal with cheeses or chocolate. Goes very well with chicken, mushroom and stewed-beef dishes.
