2019 Domaine de Boissan Vieilles Vignes Gigondas France
Domaine de Boissan Gigondas Vieilles Vines 2019 is quite simply superb.
This wine is ruby red with a delicate peppery nose which precedes a big, full and plump wine leading to an amazing aftertaste. Yes, can you tell we love it! Gigondas is becoming nearly as famous as Chateauneuf du Pape, which remains the most well known and sought after Rhone Valley wine.
This wine is full and chunky and a very good alternative. The Domaine de Boissan estate is situated in the South-West of France in the Rhone Valley, close to the Montmirail Dentelles and the Ventoux. Formed from two wine making families which stretch back five generations to the first cellar which was built at the end of the 17th Century. Today the estate is run by Christian Bonfils who produces some truly exceptional wines from the 53ha that the domaine controls.
