2008 Deanston 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask Highland Malt

Nose. Typical sherry matured whisky. Sweet. Dried fruits and honey. Fresh fruits can be discovered. Oh, there is also dark chocolate. A black forest gateau of cherries and chocolate, followed by an aromatic hit of sweet spice, nutmeg and sultanas.

Mouth: Decadence corner: treacle toffee, dark fruits and festive spice with hints mocha and a pine needle or two. Very smooth on palate at this ABV. Sweet and fruity.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering gingerbread and nutmeg
