2022 Dusky Sounds Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough

Very pale gold in colour with a nose of fresh grapefruit, kiwi fruit and nettles. Delightful citrus, grapefruit, gooseberry and tropical flavours fill the palate with a perfectly balanced vs zippy acidity. An unoaked wine with this acidity gives the wine its crisp, mouth watering finish too.

The name “Dusky Sounds” is inspired by Fiordland’s Dusky Sound, one of New Zealand’s largest fiords. It’s a place rich in history, where Maori once hunted Moa, and Captain Cook and crew are said to have brewed NZ’s first beer. The wine label pays homage to this stunning natural wonder. Waipara Hills, the producer of this lovely white wine, has a stellar reputation for excellent wines with complex flavors, having won over 500 awards in prestigious competitions
