2022 Conti Zecca 'Rifugio' Primitivo Salento

Our price-performance favourite at a high level: Pure and juicy Primitivo with a shimmering purple, dark ruby red colour and the scent of cherries soaked in alcohol, chocolate and hazelnut.

The full, warm and well-structured flavour has good length and pleasing, slightly sweet tannins.

Ruby red with brightening edges. Forest berries and pomegranate on the nose, some dried thyme and rooibos. Initially light-footed on the palate, with fresh fruit and good juiciness, showing grippy tannins and fine spice on the finish.
