2020 Soraighe Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore

This is very much a super-charged Valpolicella; it is made by using some of the remains from Amarone fermentations. This gives the wine a fuller bodied, succulent style. Hailing from the old, established winery, Casa Vinicola Bennati, we like to call it a “Baby Amarone”. Ripe, bittersweet cherry notes and a redcurrant and cranberry undertone with nicely balanced acidity and smooth tannins, this is a very nice wine indeed.
