A long since discontinued blended malt from Chivas Brothers, originally released as a limited edition in 1995, consisting of whisky from 100 different malt distilleries including several closed distilleries such as Brora, Glenugie and Glen Mhor. Each of these distilleries is detailed in an included booklet titled, "The One Hundred Malts".
Chivas The Century of Malts (43% ABV) is a unique blend of 100 single malt whiskies from different distilleries in Scotland. It was released in 1995 to commemorate the exceptional craftsmanship of Chivas Regal. Here are the tasting notes:
Appearance: Deep golden amber.
Aroma: Complex nose with hints of vanilla, honey, green fruits, spices, and subtle smokiness. Notes of apple juice, pear, banana, and light spices contribute to the layered aroma.
Taste: Smooth, oily, and fruity with flavors of citrus fruits, vanilla, cookies, and sweet spices. Hints of honey, banana, apple, and pear create a well-balanced and enjoyable palate.
Finish: Medium-long finish, warm and fruity with a touch of spice.
