1986 Chivas Brothers Cask Strength Edition Longmorn 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Speyside, Scotland

A great Speyside from this small bottling in 2004. The batch numbers are: LM17 001 and LM17 002.

LM itself is a big style dram, with bags of fruit, wax and spice. There is a big malt hit on the nose and in the mid-palate.

This one is/was sold only at the distillery. Colour: pale gold. Nose: powerful a little vanilla. Mouth: a little fruit (apple juice) and perhaps hints of violet and lavender sweets. Slighly sweetish with vegetable and herbal notes.
